Met Life has put out a great little quiz to test your knowledge about various assisted living issues, including the average cost of care. The New York Times just posted a great article, C.C.R.C. Fees: http://newoldage.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/03/ccrc-fees-prepare-to-be-bewildered/Prepare to Be Bewildered, on the cost of assisted living care around the country. From a low of $2595 a month in Phoenix it goes to a high of $4034 in Boston. The main point of the article is that while it's easy to compare assisted living/nursing home expenses, comparing CCRCs is extremely difficult.
